OSCA is the primary connection point for resource developers, communities, local, provincial and federal government agencies, and other industries looking to make a difference.
The oil sands industry collaborates with municipalities and other key stakeholders to identify and manage the socio-economic impacts of oil sands development and to ensure benefits in the communities where we operate. Ongoing engagement between industry and community leaders has resulted in a meaningful exchange of information about priorities, needs and expectations that supports the planning and development of programs, services and infrastructure.
Active engagement continues to build relationships and present collaborative opportunities to increase community capacity, make the best use of resources, leverage investment and enhance coordination.
Working together with relevant stakeholders, we:
- identify potential and emerging issues;
- predict and anticipate change;
- better respond to the complex issues facing Alberta’s Oil Sands; and
- develop strategies to proactively respond to development challenges.
Collaboration underpins everything we do and we are proud to work together for the benefit of this great region.
